MONDAY’S WEATHER – A seasonal low-pressure system combined with a warm air mass continues to affect Cyprus, bringing clear skies and soaring temperatures across the island.

Monday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny conditions.

Winds will begin light and variable, around 3 on the Beaufort scale, gradually shifting to southwesterly to northwesterly directions.

By afternoon, winds are expected to strengthen along the western coast, reaching up to 5 Beaufort. Seas will remain calm to slightly choppy.

Temperatures will peak at 43°C (109°F) inland, 36°C (97°F) along the southern and eastern coasts, and 34°C (93°F) in the west, north, and higher elevations.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear. Winds will blow from the northwest at light to moderate strength, and seas will calm further.

Overnight lows will drop to 25°C (77°F) inland and along the northern coast, 26°C (79°F) elsewhere on the coast, and 22°C (72°F) in the mountains.

The forecast for Tuesday through Thursday remains stable, with mostly sunny skies and no significant change in temperature expected until Thursday, when a slight increase is anticipated. Conditions will remain well above seasonal averages
