Cyprus will host the Cyprus-Greece-Jordan Summit with the participation of the President Christodoulides, His Majesty Abdullah II, and the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, on Wednesday, 27 November 2024.
This is the fourth consecutive Trilateral Summit between the three countries, following the one held in Athens in July 2021.
During the proceedings of the Trilateral Summit, there will be a review of the implementation of the trilateral cooperation to date on various issues that have been addressed by the trilateral mechanism in previous meetings.
These include, inter alia, the creation of a Permanent Secretariat for the coordination of the trilateral mechanisms, based in the Republic of Cyprus, cooperation on firefighting issues with the creation of a regional centre based in the Republic of Cyprus, as well as cooperation on issues related to education and investments.
Regional developments, the Cyprus problem, and European Union (EU)-Jordan relations will be among the key topics to be discussed at the Summit.
During the Trilateral Summit, the three countries will also sign Memoranda of Understanding in the fields of education, water management, and investments.
