FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Dust concentrations in the atmosphere are expected to rise intermittently over the coming days, the Meteorology Department reported Wednesday.

The forecast indicates hazy conditions persisting throughout the week, with increased cloudiness on Saturday potentially bringing isolated rain.

Thursday: Clear skies will dominate, though medium to high clouds will appear at times. Winds will shift northeast to southeast, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Seas will be slightly rough. Temperatures are expected to reach 30°C inland, 25°C along the coast, and 22°C in the mountains.

Thursday Night: Increased medium and high clouds will persist. Winds will remain light to moderate, primarily from the northeast to southeast, at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will remain slightly rough.

Friday and the Weekend: Friday will see intervals of medium and high clouds. On Saturday, heavier cloud cover may result in isolated rain, while Sunday is forecast to begin partly cloudy before becoming predominantly overcast with scattered rain and isolated storms.

Temperatures will experience a slight drop on Friday, with a significant decrease over the weekend, aligning with seasonal averages, the Meteorology Department noted.
