Turkey’s Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı said Friday that 1.046 billion lira in agricultural support payments will be deposited into farmers’ accounts today.
Yumaklı announced the payments on social media, saying the support “adds strength to producers and protects their labor.”
According to ministry figures, 594.4 million lira will go toward livestock disease compensation, 364.3 million for rural development investments, 72.1 million for biological and biotechnical control, 8.5 million for individual irrigation systems and 7.3 million for the Farm Accounting Data Network.
