Egypt and France began a joint naval exercise Sunday in French territorial waters, part of efforts to strengthen military ties and share expertise.
The drill, called “Cleopatra‑2025,” will run for several days with units from both navies.
Officials said the program includes classroom and practical sessions to unify concepts of joint operations, plan combined missions and train against unconventional maritime threats.
The exercise is part of Egypt’s schedule of joint training with allied and partner nations aimed at boosting cooperation across military fields.
