Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides meets French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday at the Élysée Palace, where the two leaders are expected to sign a Strategic Partnership Agreement focused on defense, the economy and European coordination.
The leaders will also discuss priorities for Cyprus’ presidency of the EU Council in the first half of 2026, along with key international and regional issues, stressing the need for unity and resilience within the bloc.
Officials said the agreement aims to strengthen and formalize bilateral ties, creating a structured framework for cooperation in defense, economic affairs, cultural exchange, innovation and education, while enhancing coordination on European and global matters.
