Romania will face unusually cold winter weather through early February, with temperatures staying below seasonal norms across most of the country.
In a four‑week outlook covering Jan. 12 to Feb. 9, the Weather agency said the cold will be most pronounced in the northeast, east and southeast, with occasional snowfall possible.
Average temperatures are expected to remain below normal nationwide through late January, with the sharpest drops in northeastern regions.
Precipitation, however, is forecast to stay below average in western, northern and central areas for much of the period.
