Cyprus’ economy grew 4.5% in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared with the same period a year earlier, according to a preliminary estimate released by the Statistical Service. Seasonally adjusted data show a 1.4% increase from the previous quarter.
Eurostat figures indicate Cyprus’ annual growth rate was well above the eurozone and EU averages of 1.3% and 1.5% respectively.
For 2025 as a whole, growth is estimated at 3.75%, outperforming earlier projections by the Finance Ministry and other domestic and international institutions, which had forecast between 2.9% and 3.5%.
Officials said the data highlight the continued strength of the Cypriot economy despite global uncertainty, noting that growth remains comparatively high alongside low inflation and full‑employment conditions.
The government said maintaining prudent fiscal policy will help preserve economic resilience and support medium‑term growth above 3%.
