The repatriation of Cypriot citizens from the crisis zone was completed Thursday night, the Foreign Ministry said.
A Cyprus Airways flight carrying 149 passengers landed shortly before 8 p.m.
Over the past week, the ministry, working with Cyprus’s diplomatic missions, coordinated eight charter flights that evacuated a total of 1,181 people from the affected region.
Those repatriated include Cypriot citizens, permanent residents of Cyprus, nationals of other countries and citizens of the European Union.
