A handgun and five blocks of TNT‑type explosive weighing a total of 670 grams were found in an open area in Limassol, police said Thursday.
According to local online media, a patrol officer located the items hidden in a rubbish‑strewn field after receiving a tipoff. The gun was missing its magazine.
Police sources told the Cyprus Times the explosives are TNT‑type but differ from the large quantity of TNT stolen from the National Guard’s firing range, indicating no link between the two cases.
