A 23‑year‑old man arrested in connection with an attempted murder in Larnaca earlier this week was ordered held for seven days.
The suspect appeared before the Larnaca District Court in relation to the April 12 incident, in which a 20‑year‑old man was stabbed during an altercation at a Larnaca nightclub, according to investigators.
Police said the two men argued inside the venue before the 23‑year‑old allegedly attacked the victim with a sharp object. The 20‑year‑old was taken to Larnaca General Hospital, where he remains in stable condition and out of danger.
The Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department is continuing its inquiries.
