A weak low‑pressure system is affecting the region, with thin layers of dust expected to linger in the atmosphere through Thursday.

Today will be mostly clear, though periods of high cloud are likely. Winds will shift from southwest to northwest, strengthening from light to moderate (3–4 Beaufort) to generally moderate to strong and locally very strong (4–6 Beaufort), especially along southern and eastern coasts. Seas will be slightly to moderately rough. Temperatures will reach about 31 degrees Celsius inland, 29 on the southern and eastern coasts, 25 on the western and northern coasts, and 22 in the higher mountains.

Tonight, variable cloud cover will increase, with low coastal cloud and possible light fog forming toward dawn. Winds will ease to light (3 Beaufort) and locally moderate (3–4 Beaufort). Seas will be slight to moderately rough in western, northern and southern areas, and calm to slight in the east. Temperatures will fall to around 17 degrees inland and on the coasts, and 13 in the mountains.

Thursday will bring intervals of mid‑ and high‑level cloud, with winds strengthening again in coastal areas by afternoon. Low cloud is expected overnight.

Friday will be partly cloudy, with brief isolated showers possible and stronger coastal winds.

Saturday will see occasional local cloud, with isolated afternoon showers over the mountains and southern slopes of Troodos.

Temperatures will hold steady Thursday, dip below seasonal averages Friday, then rise again Saturday to near normal levels for mid‑May.
