US President Donald reiterated that the US needs Greenland for “national security reasons.”
“We need it, for the sake of international security,” Trump said, whilst on board Air Force One.
Trump has said several times since December that the United States wants control over Greenland, which has been denied by Greenland’s Prime Minister Múte B. Egede, and Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
On January 7, his son Donald Trump Jr. arrived in Greenland on his father’s private plane. There, Junior said he was visiting Greenland as a tourist. The visit lasted a few hours.
