Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized the importance of Türkiye’s contribution to a potential peace agreement in Ukraine and the reconstruction of Europe’s security architecture.
Speaking to reporters after the London summit of Ukraine’s allies, Fidan described the summit as significant and noted that different views have emerged within the European Union in light of the recent U.S. position.
Fidan mentioned that European leaders who recently visited the United States are discussing how they can meet more frequently to address these issues. He indicated that future meetings might occur every two or three weeks, rather than every two or six months.
According to Fidan, the U.S. policy has raised questions among European leaders, particularly regarding Ukraine and European security. These discussions are being held openly, and Fidan expressed hope that a peace agreement in Ukraine and a new security architecture for Europe will be achieved.
