FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Danish media reports that U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz is set to visit Greenland next week.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, in a statement to Danish Radio on Sunday, emphasized that the visit cannot be viewed separately from recent public remarks by President Donald Trump, who has suggested that the U.S. might “take over” Greenland.
Frederiksen stated that Denmark takes these comments seriously and that any dialogue with the U.S. regarding Greenland will involve close cooperation between the Danish government and Greenland’s future government.
The White House also confirmed that Usha Vance, wife of Vice President JD Vance, will visit Greenland next week with her son and an American delegation.
