FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – President Nikos Christodoulides emphasized his government’s ‘unwavering commitment’ to resuming negotiations on the Cyprus issue in his Easter message, reaffirming efforts to achieve a resolution within the framework of the European Union’s principles and values.
Christodoulides highlighted the government’s strategic approach, which he said is yielding results in the effort to break through the occupation wall.
He noted that Cyprus enjoys strong support from Greece, European institutions, and strategic international partners, strengthening the country’s credibility and self-confidence.
The president also pointed to the resilience of the Cypriot economy, which he said allows for the responsible implementation of programs focused on social welfare.
He stressed the government’s dedication to reinforcing economic foundations to enhance the welfare state, support families, and bolster national security and defense.
Cyprus, he added, has emerged as a reliable partner for both the European Union and the broader Middle East, strengthening diplomatic and strategic ties beyond the region.
