By the end of 2025, all SAS aircraft will have Starlink internet, meaning passengers subscribed to the airline’s loyalty program will thus receive free WiFi on flights.
“We are putting an end to frustrating interruptions and ushering in a new era of connectivity. Whether flying across the Atlantic or the North Sea, our passengers can now rely on a connection that is as stable and seamless as it is fast,” SAS Commercial Director, Paul Verhagen, told E24,
The plan is to be able to use the internet through Starlink on multiple devices simultaneously, throughout the entire flight.
The Starlink system consists of thousands of satellites in low Earth orbit. The service is provided by SpaceX, which is owned by Elon Musk.
