Ballot papers for the May 24 parliamentary elections will begin printing on May 9 and be completed by May 14, according to the Government Printing Office’s schedule, Chief Returning Officer Elikkos Elia has said.
Elia said staffing of polling stations is expected to be finalized next week, followed by training for the employees selected from more than 16,000 workers and unemployed individuals who expressed interest in assisting with the election process.
He added that the “Where Do I Vote” online service will be activated before May 15 to inform voters of their assigned polling stations, which will be finalized in the coming days.
Elia said the total number of polling stations in Cyprus and abroad is expected to be around 1,200.
