A weak low‑pressure system is influencing the area on Tuesday, bringing partly cloudy skies and periods of heavier cloud cover.
Isolated showers are possible along the coasts early in the day. By midday, developing clouds are expected to produce isolated showers, with a chance of a brief thunderstorm, mainly in the mountains and eastern half of the island.
Winds will blow southwest to northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort, locally reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort along the west and south coasts. Seas will be slight to moderate, and moderate in the west at first. Temperatures will rise to around 20°C inland and on the coasts, and 8°C in the highest mountains.
Tonight will be mostly clear, though patches of low cloud are expected, especially near the coasts. Winds will remain southwest to northwest, locally veering northeast, light to occasionally moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Seas will become slight in the west and north, and calm to slight in the south and east. Temperatures will fall to around 10°C inland, 13°C on the coasts, and 4°C in the mountains, where local frost may form.
On Wednesday, most areas will see mainly clear weather with passing cloud, but isolated showers — and possibly a brief storm — may develop after midday, especially in the mountains and interior.
Thursday and Friday will be mostly clear.
Temperatures will rise steadily through Friday to reach near or slightly above seasonal averages.
