Carbon Forward Middle East 2026 to spotlight regional carbon markets

Carbon Forward Middle East 2026, the region’s leading carbon markets event, will be held Jan. 14‑15 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre as part of the World Future Energy Summit and Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, organizers said Tuesday.

Backed by Masdar, the event will feature its largest program to date, with sessions exploring compliance systems, voluntary carbon markets, border adjustment mechanisms, aviation decarbonization strategies, carbon capture and storage, and climate finance.

Organized by Carbon Pulse and Redshaw Advisors in partnership with Offset8 Capital, the gathering will bring together policymakers, investors, financial institutions, project developers, rating agencies, traders, law firms and climate innovators to map the future of carbon markets in the Middle East.

Organizers said the event reflects the region’s growing role in global efforts to achieve carbon neutrality. The program will open with a keynote on the UAE’s ambition to become a regional carbon hub, highlighting how local laws, trading platforms and financial markets can support decarbonization and investment.

The conference is positioned as a milestone in advancing regional cooperation on climate, expanding the summit’s focus to include carbon pricing, financing and mechanisms under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
