China plans to appeal import tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump to the World Trade Organization (WTO), the country’s Ministry of Commerce says.
The country says the import tariffs seriously violate the organization’s rules. China says the United States should have open discussions and strengthen cooperation.
Trump imposed new 10 percent import tariffs on China on Saturday. China announced that it would safeguard its rights and interests with corresponding countermeasures.
