Cyprus’ Construction Materials Price Index reached 119.28 points in February 2026, marking a 0.33% increase from January and an annual rise of 0.60%, according to data released by the Statistical Service.
The report shows notable increases in electromechanical items (2.27%), wood‑based, insulating, chemical and plastic products (1.64%), and minerals (0.94%). Declines were recorded in metal products (‑0.45%) and mineral‑based products (‑0.08%).
For the January–February period, the index rose 0.84% compared with the same period in 2025.
The index tracks monthly changes in the cost of construction materials, based on prices collected from suppliers on the 15th of each month. It uses 2021 as the base year, with a value of 100 representing the average price level that year.
The Construction Materials Price Index forms part of the broader Construction Cost Index submitted to Eurostat under EU Regulation 2019/2152.
