Cyprus will see another scorching day Thursday, with inland temperatures soaring to around 39 degrees Celsius (102 Fahrenheit).
After early mist and low clouds dissipate, skies will remain mostly clear. Some cloud buildup is expected in mountainous areas later in the afternoon.
Winds will start light and variable at 3 Beaufort before shifting to a light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly flow at 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Seas will be mostly calm, ranging from smooth to slight.
Temperatures will peak at 39C inland, with coastal areas seeing highs of 33C on the south and east and around 30C on the west and north, as well as the higher mountain regions.
The clear conditions will persist into the weekend, with brief afternoon cloud cover over the mountains. Overnight and early morning mist or thin fog is expected, particularly near coastal and eastern inland areas.
Friday’s temperatures will hold steady, but a gradual slight dip is forecast over the weekend, though overall, they will remain above seasonal averages.
