President Nikos Christodoulides will meet Maria Angela Holguin, the United Nations secretary-general’s personal envoy for Cyprus, on Saturday, May 24, he announced during an event at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center.
No meeting has been scheduled between Christodoulides and Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar ahead of Holguin’s arrival.
Negotiators from both sides met in recent days, Christodoulides said, adding that further meetings would be considered if necessary.
He emphasized the importance of holding a tripartite meeting with Holguin and Tatar to discuss how the envoy intends to proceed and to hear perspectives from both sides.
