The Cabinet has approved an extension of the reduced 9% VAT rate on electricity until March 31, 2027, Finance Minister Makis Keravnos said.
Keravnos also said the government will not allow the Social Insurance Fund’s reserves to be invested in the stock market.
He added that the Cabinet approved scholarships for final‑year high‑school students as part of the government’s plan to support the Tilliria region.
Keravnos briefed ministers on the latest six‑month economic report issued by EU member states.
