FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Robberies have become an increasingly common issue in the Larnaca district.
Early Monday morning, a bakery in the Kamares area of Larnaca was targeted by five hooded thieves, who stole €350 from the cash register, as reported by local police.
Christodoulos Konsolos, Press Secretary of the Larnaca Police Department, stated that the robbers did not interact with the lone employee, a female, who was on duty at the time. The thieves allegedly took the cash register’s portable section containing €350 and fled in what appears to be a rental car.
Konsolos further mentioned that police officers conducted an investigation at the scene and surrounding area.
By 4 a.m., the suspects’ abandoned vehicle was located in the Mackenzie area. The case remains under investigation by the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department.
