Cyprus has strengthened its cooperation with Royal Caribbean Group with the registration of the cruise ship Navigator of the Seas under the Cypriot flag, the Deputy Ministry of Shipping has said.

The 140,000‑GT vessel is the second Royal Caribbean ship to join the Cyprus registry, following the Spectrum of the Seas in January 2023. The move follows the company’s 2023 decision to establish a permanent base in Limassol for its Eastern Mediterranean operations.

Deputy Minister of Shipping Marina Hadjimanoli thanked Royal Caribbean leadership — including Group President and CEO Jason Liberty, Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley, Senior Vice President Sean Treacy and regional director Christos Karavos — for what she described as a clear vote of confidence in Cyprus’ shipping sector.

The ministry said the expanded cooperation underscores Cyprus’ position as a reliable and competitive maritime center and reflects the continued growth of its shipping industry.
