FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Four men were arrested in a tourist district of Larnaca after allegedly shooting at pedestrians with an air rifle from inside a vehicle, according to local media reports.
Fileleftheros and other outlets identified the suspects as Greek Cypriots aged 22, 24, 26 and 30. Police said two individuals who were struck by plastic pellets reported the incident, leading to the arrests.
The suspects reportedly told authorities they fired the weapon “as a joke.” No serious injuries were reported due to the non-lethal nature of the ammunition.
A court has ordered the four men held in custody for four days pending further investigation.
