Cyprus was among 15 countries that took part in an operation to dismantle a criminal network accused of defrauding people across Europe with fake supplements and medicines.
The group allegedly claimed to sell legal treatments for serious illnesses and generated an estimated 240 million euros in illegal revenue, according to Eurojust.
Cyprus participated through the Attorney General’s Office and the national police.
Eurojust said the network began operating in 2019, setting up companies to market unlicensed supplements and selling more than 400 products under different names. Call‑center operators posed as doctors or specialists.
Authorities searched 113 locations in Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Moldova, and identified the main warehouse in Bulgaria.
