Cyprus’ public broadcaster released its final major poll ahead of the May 24 parliamentary elections, showing widespread concern about the economic impact of the conflict in Iran.
The survey found that 82% of respondents say they do not take polls into account when voting, even though 58% follow them and 41% say they do not.
Half of those surveyed said Cypriot society needs deep changes, a rise of 10 percentage points compared with 1996.
On Cyprus’ international standing, 46% said the country’s influence has stayed the same, while 28% believe it has grown stronger.
When asked about voting criteria, 33% said they will choose the party they consider “better than the others,” while 21% said they will vote for the “least bad” political option.
