Cyprus is experiencing another heavy dust episode, with air‑quality readings far above safe limits, according to the Labour Inspection Department.
At 8 p.m., concentrations of PM10 inhalable particles were recorded at:
- 128 micrograms in Nicosia
- 179 micrograms in Limassol
- 181 micrograms in Zygi
- 166 micrograms in Larnaca
- 137 micrograms in Paphos
- 178 micrograms in Paralimni
The average permitted level is 50 micrograms.
Authorities are urging the public — especially vulnerable groups — to limit outdoor activity until conditions improve.
