Cyprus’ Industrial Turnover Index rose 10% in November compared with the same month a year earlier, reaching 138.6 units (base 2021=100), the Statistical Service has reported.
For January–November, turnover increased 5.1% year‑on‑year.
Manufacturing posted a 12.2% annual rise in November, while mining and quarrying surged 45.6%. Turnover declined slightly in electricity supply (–0.5%) and in water supply and materials recovery (–0.3%).
Within manufacturing, the strongest annual increases were recorded in non‑metallic mineral products (+86.8%) and in basic metals and fabricated metal products (+23.3%). Declines were noted in electronic and optical products (–10.2%) and in machinery, motor vehicles and transport equipment (–13.3%).
Local market turnover rose 12.7% in November, while export turnover fell 4.1%.
