Negotiations between Cyprus and Israel over the Aphrodite gas field — which borders Israel’s Ishai field — are ongoing, the Cypriot energy minister said Wednesday.
The goal, he noted, is to reach a conclusion within the next one to two months.
Energy Minister Michalis Damianou told parliament’s Energy Committee that a final investment decision on the Kronos field is expected by late March.
The plan, he said, is for first gas to be delivered in the first half of 2028, routed through Egypt’s Zohr infrastructure for processing and eventual sale to the European market.
