Job vacancies in Cyprus rose 4.2% in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared with a year earlier, reaching 13,538 positions, the Statistical Service says.
The vacancy rate stood at 2.8%, unchanged from the same quarter in 2024 but down from 3.0% in the third quarter of 2025.
The largest vacancy rates were recorded in administrative and support services at 3.9%, wholesale and retail trade at 3.8%, and mining and quarrying at 3.6%.
Compared with the previous quarter, total vacancies fell 7.1%, reflecting declines in sectors including manufacturing, construction, accommodation and food services, and transport and storage.
The data cover businesses with at least one employee across all major economic sectors except agriculture, household employment and extraterritorial organizations.
