The third annual “Green Week” kicks off October 13 in Limassol, aiming to promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices through collaboration between local authorities, citizens and community organizations.
The event, running through October 19, is co-organized by four municipalities, the Limassol Municipal Development Authority and the Green Energy group.
Mayors from Limassol, Amathus and Polemidia, along with representatives from Kourion and the Limassol Regional Tourism Authority, invited the public to take part in a series of planned activities during a press conference.
Organizers said the initiative seeks to foster social responsibility and encourage citizen participation in environmental efforts.
The week opens with a roundtable discussion on Monday at the Panos Solomonides Cultural Center, focusing on the role of local government in the green transition. The session, titled “Together We Build a Green Tomorrow,” will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
