FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Authorities will begin accepting applications for a voluntary repatriation plan for Syrian families from June 2 to August 31, provided applicants withdraw their asylum requests or revoke their international protection status submitted before December 31, 2024.
The plan also applies to couples without children, while prisoners are excluded.
Deputy Minister of Migration and International Protection Nikolas Ioannides outlined the details during a press conference Thursday, emphasizing that Cypriot authorities are working in full coordination with the European Commission, which will be kept informed of the plan’s implementation.
