FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Cyprus has entered 2025 with high hopes for its tourism sector, Deputy Minister Costas Koumis said, predicting it could match or exceed last year’s record-breaking achievements.
In 2024, tourist arrivals surpassed four million for the first time, generating over €3 billion.
This year, arrivals are already up 6%, driven by improved air connectivity.
Koumis highlighted Paphos as a standout destination, crediting its strong performance to significant upgrades.
“Paphos has significantly upgraded its tourism offering, with many hotels investing in renovations and new facilities,” he said.
