Cyprus police arrested 30 third‑country nationals on Tuesday during coordinated operations aimed at tackling illegal migration, authorities said.
The raids were carried out by the Aliens and Immigration Service in cooperation with the Green Line Surveillance and Migration Flows Unit and the Famagusta Police Directorate. The operations took place in the districts of Nicosia and Famagusta.
Police said 17 people were located and arrested in Nicosia district, while another 13 were detained in Famagusta district. All were found to be residing illegally in the Republic.
The detainees were transferred to the Menoyia Detention Centre, where procedures for their repatriation are underway, according to the announcement.
