FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Police arrested a 21-year-old man Tuesday after discovering a large quantity of drugs in Nicosia.
The suspect was stopped by narcotics officers while driving in the city, following a tip-off. Authorities said he was operating the vehicle without a license or insurance and tested positive for drugs during a preliminary roadside check.
A subsequent court-authorized search of a residence used by the suspect as a storage space uncovered 6.3 kilograms of cannabis, 713 grams of methamphetamine, 93 grams of cocaine, nearly a kilogram of cannabis resin, 337 handmade cannabis cigarettes, and a substantial amount of cash.
The man remains in custody as the investigation continues.
