Police in Cyprus said seven people were arrested late Saturday after violent incidents in Limassol, Nicosia and Larnaca.
Authorities reported illegal gatherings of youths, damage to property and the throwing of improvised explosives, firecrackers and stones at officers.
Four minors and an 18‑year‑old were detained in Limassol, while two adults were arrested in Larnaca on drug charges.
Police said fires were set in trash bins, tires, kiosks and dry vegetation, with three patrol cars damaged by stones. Investigations are continuing.
The Fire Service said it responded to 69 fire incidents after 7 p.m.
Saturday, mostly involving bins, vehicle tires, waste and trees.
Crews also extinguished blazes at a kiosk in Tseri and motorcycles set alight in Dromolaxia and Kalo Chorio.
Spokesman Andreas Kettis said Nicosia stations handled 40 incidents, Limassol 17 and Larnaca 12.
In total, the service responded to 98 calls in 24 hours, including 83 fires and 15 other emergencies.
