FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Authorities have arrested an 18-year-old male on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony following an incident earlier this week.
Police say the suspect was detained Monday night on a court warrant, and a Limassol District Court judge ordered him held for six days during his initial appearance Tuesday.
The case stems from a March 15 attack reported by another 18-year-old male from Limassol. The victim told police he was assaulted by several individuals while in his parked vehicle in Limassol. During the altercation, one of the attackers reportedly shot the victim with an air pistol, causing minor injuries.
The victim was treated at Limassol General Hospital for a hematoma on his lips and abrasions on his hand and abdomen before being discharged.
Investigators say testimony implicates the arrested suspect and that other individuals connected to the case are still being sought.
