A district court in Paphos has ordered a seven-day detention for a 44-year-old woman in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a 48-year-old Romanian national.

Police said the woman was the third person arrested in the case, following the earlier detention of two men, aged 51 and 79, who were remanded for eight days. Authorities are investigating multiple offenses, including kidnapping, psychological abuse, conspiracy to commit a felony, human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and money laundering.

The arrests followed a tip from Romanian authorities that the victim may have been held against her will in a Paphos hotel. She was later found at Paphos Airport, reportedly calling for help while accompanied by one of the suspects.

The case is being investigated by the Anti-Trafficking Bureau in coordination with the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department.
