NICOSIA, Cyprus – Authorities in Nicosia are investigating a puzzling incident involving a 62-year-old man who was admitted to the city’s General Hospital with brain swelling.
According to sources, witnesses have reported a confrontation between the man and a young driver on a road between Pera Orinis and Lakatamia. Investigators from the Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department are working to determine how the man sustained his injuries.
A police official did not rule out the possibility of arrests in the coming hours as the inquiry continues.
