NICOSIA, Cyprus — Authorities in Nicosia are investigating a suspected premeditated murder involving the death of 58-year-old Afsaneh Mohammadi, a woman from Iran.
Police received information around 2:45 a.m. that Mohammadi had died while being transported to Nicosia General Hospital with severe head injuries.
The scene has been cordoned off for forensic examination, and investigators from the Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department are expected to issue an arrest warrant for a 62-year-old man in connection with the case.
