Authorities are investigating a robbery case that occurred yesterday evening in Larnaca.
According to a 68-year-old man’s complaint, the incident took place around 8pm while he was trying to enter his vehicle.
An unknown person, wearing a hood, approached and attacked him, throwing him to the ground. The assailant then stole the man’s bag, which contained the sum of €4,500.
The victim, who was shaken but not seriously injured, reported the crime to the police immediately.
The authorities have launched an investigation and are currently reviewing any available surveillance footage from nearby areas to identify the suspect.
The police are urging residents to remain vigilant and take precautions, especially when carrying large sums of money. They advise keeping personal belongings secure and being aware of one’s surroundings to avoid falling victim to similar attacks.
