Police are urging the public to remain vigilant as a phone scam involving individuals impersonating government officials continues to target citizens.
According to police, the perpetrators falsely identify themselves as representatives from agencies such as the Social Insurance Services, the Tax Department, and the Cyprus Electricity Authority.
They contact individuals by phone and instruct them to take actions designed to fraudulently obtain money using their bank cards.
