A coordinated operation took place Wednesday evening in Paphos district to prevent crime and ensure road safety, according to Assistant Police Director of Operations, Michalis Nikolaou.
Led by Paphos Police Director Kleitos Erotokritou, the operation targeted areas known for criminal activity.
Police arrested a 24-year-old man found with 18 grams of cannabis and a precision scale, and a 38-year-old driver with a half-smoked cannabis cigarette.
Additionally, a 17-year-old driver and his 16-year-old co-driver were stopped for various traffic offenses, including driving without a license or insurance.
Another driver was found with offensive instruments.
The operation resulted in 50 vehicle stops, 30 car searches, 25 pedestrian searches, and one vehicle impounded.
Nikolaou stated that such operations will continue to maintain law and order.
