President Nikos Christodoulides of Cyprus unveiled a six-point initiative focused on security, reconstruction, and humanitarian aid for Gaza during high-level meetings at the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit.
Speaking on the sidelines of the summit, Christodoulides emphasized that the proposal aligns with the framework set out by U.S. President Donald Trump. He noted that the Republic of Cyprus, which is set to assume the presidency of the European Union in the first half of next year, maintains strong relations with neighboring countries.
The president also confirmed that he briefed European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and leaders of EU member states on the initiative.
