FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Cyprus registered the second-lowest inflation rate among European Union countries in April, according to recent Eurostat data.
Annual inflation in Cyprus dropped to 1.4% in April, down from 2.1% in March.
Economist Tasos Yiasemidis noted that despite the decline, high prices persist, emphasizing that a product’s final cost to consumers is determined by the total price throughout the supply chain.
