FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Cyprus remains under a red alert for forest fires Sunday, as high temperatures and dry conditions continue to raise the risk of ignition and rapid spread.
The Forestry Department urged the public to exercise extreme caution during outdoor activities and to avoid any actions that could spark a fire.
Officials warned against lighting fires or engaging in activities that may cause flames or smoke.
Anyone who sees smoke or fire is asked to immediately call the Forestry Department at 1407 or the Fire Service at 112.
